Begovaya MCD-1 station will change beyond recognition — the station will be rebuilt almost entirely: next year the MCD-4 will pass here and a modern and convenient transport hub meeting the Moscow Transport standards will appear in place of the first diameter platforms.
Three platforms with full-length canopies will work for passengers. The central platform will be cross-platform — the MCD-1 and future MCD-4 trains will stop here. It is convenient: two through lines of the Moscow Metro will cross and create many new routes. There will also be a new lobby, which will combine the MCD-1 and MCD-4 with ticket offices, turnstile area, lifts and escalators. It will become possible to go straight down to the metro from the transport hub — the interchange will be more convenient, passengers will no longer have to walk down the street.
Begovaya will become one of the 10 central transport hubs. Citizens of the nearest districts will also be able to use the station conveniently.

Together with our colleagues from the Russian Railways we are carrying out a huge amount of work on the railway infrastructure, including upgrading the existing diameter stations into large modern and comfortable hubs. One of them will be Begovaya — a large transport hub will combine two diameters and Moscow Metro Line 7 in a single contour, which means that passengers will not have to go out into the street to make an interchange between the railway stations, it will take only a few minutes», – noted Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.
Extensive works are now being carried out to develop the two prospective MCD-3 and MCD-4. In order to launch them, Moscow is undertaking extensive works to develop track infrastructure and construct new railway stations. After their launch, there will be 140 MCD stations on the overground metro network. The prospective MCD-3 Leningrad-Kazansky will create a new 85 km railway line, which will connect Zelenograd and Ramenskoye. There will be 41 stations on the new diameter. 14 of them are interchanging stations with 21 interchange options to the metro, the MCC and other diameter stations. The MCD-4 Kievsko-Gorkovsky will run through Moscow from west to east. It will be the longest transport route in Moscow, its length will be 86 km. With the MCD-4 launch, the railway network will include 37 stations and after 2025, the number of stations will increase to 39.
