MUMBAI: In a veiled dig at controversy queen Sherlyn Chopra, actor Rayya Labib put out a post on her Instagram handle saying.. Let those who are without sin, cast the first stone.
She wrote on her Insta quoting a verse from the Bible: This one is for @_sherlynchopra_ @sherlyn_chopraofficial84 @sherlynchopra.official @rakhisawant2511 #rakhisawant #sherlynchopra: LET THEY WHO ARE WITHOUT SIN, CAST THE FIRST STONE… THOSE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES SHOULD NOT THROW STONES…. I rest my case.. the above two lines are self-explanatory….
Meanwhile, the Amboli police in suburban Mumbai allowed drama queen Rakhi Sawant to go home after several hours of questioning.
She was not arrested, only taken in for questioning and her statement was recorded with regards to the allegations made by complainant Sherlyn Chopra.
However, Sherlyn had a different story to tell. She claimed that at the police station Rakhi produced a medical certificate showing that her mother was very unwell and hence on humanitarian grounds she was allowed to go home.
Sawant was detained by the Amboli Police on Thursday in relation to a FIR (CR No. 883/2022) that Sherlyn Chopra had filed against her last year, after Rakhi made personal remarks against her.
The Amboli police registered an FIR u/s 354(a), 504, 506, 509 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 67 (A) of the Information Technology Act.
E Times quoted a source saying, “the Amboli police allowed Rakhi Sawant to go home. as Rakhi cooperated in the investigation and also handed over her mobile phone to them for investigation, so there was no concrete reason to arrest her.”
According to the E Times report, the actress was given temporary bail and her arrest was put on hold on humanitarian grounds. The actress left the police station with her husband Adil.
She may have to appear before the appropriate court tomorrow to secure regular bail or may have been bailed today at the police station itself.
In case she is arrested, she will be presented before the Addl. CMM at the Andheri East Magistrate’s court, where she is most likely to get bail immediately as there is no recovery of any belongings and all the evidence is already with the police. She has also handed over the concerned mobile phone to the cops.
