MUMBAI: Actor Rayya Labib today revealed that post her marriage to Adil Khan last year, Rakhi Sawant has changed her name to Fatima and converted to Islam.
Congratulating Rakhi, Rayya who is of Turkish-Iranian origin but born in Assam, wrote on her Instagram timeline: #congratulations #rakhisawant @rakhisawant2511 #FatimaKhan on your #marriage and on converting to #Islam and also tagged various entertainment website profiles. She said Rakhi Sawant is now legally Fatima Khan on paper.
Rakhi Sawant has changed her name after her Nikaah with Adil. As per the marriage certificate procured by a website, the actress is now known as Rakhi Sawant Fatima or Fatima Khan.
According to media reports, Rakhi Sawant got married to Adil Khan Durrani in July 2022, but introduced him to the media as her boyfriend at that time.
While images from their court marriage are going viral, the controversy queen in a recent interaction with the media questioned why Adil was hiding their marriage from everyone.
Rayya questioned if Adil was afraid of ‘Love Jihad’ allegations from certain sections and that is why he was hiding his marital status?
